Service Description
Terry Watson brings to life the story of Moses P. Cobb and Samuel J. Battle who are known for their perseverance and determination to pave the way for African Americans in law enforcement. Although other African American men were hired in NYC as Patrolman, these two were known for breaking down the racial barrier and persevering through times of hate and inequality. This historical descriptive narration allows for a deeper exploration of the two movements of today, #BlackLivesMatter and #BlueLivesMatter! Goals for the program: Acquire a new understanding of the #BlackLivesMatter and the #BlueLIvesMatter movement from a historical perspective Acquire an understanding of the barriers and challenges that prohibit both movements from engaging. Provide insight on how we can continue the dialogue on law enforcement and communities of color.
